Aim:
To provide structured coaching sessions which will encourage
young children between the ages of 4 to 6 years old who are in Reception or Year 1 at school, to enjoy and develop football
skills with a view to progressing to a Layer Colts Football team playing in a FA approved local league.
Objectives:
- To
progress children from a coaching only environment into becoming part of a structured football team for Layer
Colts
- To Help children of all abilities to enjoy the Foundations
of Football in a safe, local environment
- To encourage parents
of the younger children to coach and manage the new Layer Colts teams and achieve the FA coaching Level 1 certificate
- To encourage Players from the older Layer Colts teams to help coach the younger
teams
- To form at least one U7’s Layer Colts team for
each forthcoming football season
Guidelines:
- Nippers runs from the ages of 4-6 for children
who are in Reception or Year 1 at school.
- Children need to
be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times during the coaching sessions.
- Coaching sessions will run in school term time on a Saturday morning.
- Nippers fees will be paid termly in advance after a 1 week trial period
- If a child is not part of a Layer team by the time they are 7 then the club will endeavour to put them in contact
with other local clubs who may have space available
- All Nippers,
Parents and guardians will adhere to the LCYFC Rules, FA Respect Codes and Child welfare procedures.
Long term Goals:
To have a Layer Colts team at every age group from U7-U18.
